Wireless outdoor lamps light you up
Posted by Emma Smith
Love to have a perfectly lit garden? But don’t feel like hiring a garden architect? Nor the hassle of redoing your garden? Or make sure all the cables are rain proof…? Make your life easy with brimmel wireless outdoor lamps.
Wireless outdoor lamps are a bright idea
One of the disadvantages of installing outdoor lighting is that you usually do not have as many power points in the garden as inside you home. What a perfect solution it would be to have wireless outdoor lamps. This is lighting that does not need any cords. Solar outdoor lamps have exactly that quality! No more digging in cables or working with hose reels. There are only two things you need to do. Fixing or placing the solar light in a sunny place and switching on the wireless outdoor lamp.
Solar lights with sensor
All solar lamps are equipped with a twilight sensor. And sometimes even with a motion sensor with several functions. But first about the light senor… If you have several wireless outdoor lamps and every time you would need to switch them on and off individually, this would of course be very inconvenient. Now you only need to enable them once. When it gets dark, the wireless outdoor lamps will light up automatically. There are also wireless solar lights with twilight sensor and the earlier mentioned motion sensor. With these lamps you have the perfect driveway lighting and you will feel safe at home.
Outdoor lamps without electricity
One of the characteristics of solar lighting is that it is always an wireless outdoor lamp without power supply. However not all parts of the garden have full sunlight. But – as always – solutions are available. To light up a garden section with little sunlight over the day use solar powered lamps with cable. This is a cable between the lamp and a separate solar panel. This allows you to mount the garden lighting in a place where sunlight does not come, while you can place the loose panel somewhere where sunlight is highly available.
Control wireless outdoor lamps with motion control
Since people also like to regulate their own light settings and light levels, there are also outdoor lamps with motion control. These lamps often have a several options, such as choosing the burning time after it starts to get dark. With brimmel wireless outdoor lamps it is even possible to simply set this motion control for different functions. So no more need to worry about lightless evenings, visitors or remote controls. Good to know… The lamp then works exactly the same as any other outdoor lamp and has comparable light intensity.

LED solar light convenient?
Posted by Emma Smith
The word solar is a synonym for the sun. So LED solar light is literally driven by the power of our daily sun light. And this type of lighting only needs the sun. No need for extra power. Because the energy of the sun is ‘freely’ available, it makes sense to use it for all kinds of purposes that require energy. Not only for solar panels that can be found on roofs of buildings. But as well for LED solar lights. And that is what we at brimmel specializes in.
LED consumes little energy
The wide spread use of solar powered light really took off after its was combined with the LED lamps (external link to LED information). That is because a LED light source has a relatively low energy consumption. And that pairs perfectly with a limited power supply of the solar panels. Now a long operating time and high lumen output can be achieved with a compact, powerfull battery. And as a result, LED solar light is available in many different models, materials and in large and small sizes.
Solar light stands alone
Next to the advantage of LED light bulbs, solar lights brings more convenience. Solar powered lamps are a stand-alone solution for any lighting challenge. This means they are self-sufficient and operate without any additional means; just the sun. So this technology can especially be used in places where electricity from the grid is not easily available. Solar energy lamps are therefore used as both functional lighting and decorative, mood lighting. Getting them in place is so easy that installing in any situation is really a piece of cake.
Solar light is always ready to go
In a solar light you will always have a rechargeable battery. So the sun’s energy can be captured by a solar panel and stored in a battery. Different types and sizes of batteries are used. It not only depends on the type of lamp and the light source used, But as well on the output in Lumens (internal link to item about Lumens) of the light bulb. The type of lamp determines the function. The floodlight for safety, a pole or post for mood lighting. Or even a wall lamp to shine a light at the doorway. So the aplication also sets whether the light source needs to provide high output a low mood lights. And the capacity of the battery is always tuned to this. Meaning that there is always enough power available to ‘keep the fire burning’…
Make your choice now!
No need to make any other choice than green, clean and lean solar powered lighting. Make your choice for the right brimmel wall fixture, garden post or tall post here (internal link to brimmel range).

Solar lighting is magic
Posted by Emma Smith
Solar lighting… we know it all. They are lights driven by solar power. Now that that sounds quite logical & easy. And actually it is… Put some solar powered outdoor lighting in your garden and you will have always a clear view in the darkness. But how does it work exactely…?
solar power drives solar lighting
The sun is actually a very large source of energy. And it powers solar lighting. Thed radiation comes to earth and we use it for various purposes. Which that includes e.g. garden and outdoor lighting. The magic of that ‘green’ light is actually very simple. The lighting fixture holds a small solar panel with a number of solar cells. So these cells catch the sunlight during the day. And converts it into electrical energy. This energy is stored in the rechargeable battery of the fixture. In the evening, this solar energy is used to power the LED (external link to some LED website) light bulb and emits the desired amount of light.
technology of the sun
Another name for call solar powered electricity is photovoltaic energy. Sometimes the abbreviation PV is used. Actualy it is a very effective and 100% clean & green way to convert solar radiation into electricity. The earlier mentioned solar panel is integrated in the lighting fixture. The top of such a panel usually consist of glass, the bottom is covered with a dark plate. Such a panel is full of solar cells that absorb sunlight. When sun light touches the surface of these photovoltaic cells, it is directly converted into electric current. The electricity is stored in the rechargeable battery of the solar powered lighting. And then – like magic – when it gets dark, the solar lamp switches on automatically and the stored power from the battery is used.
advantages of solar lighting
Using solar powerd outdoor lights brings several advantages, We summarize the three most important ones:
- Green & clean energy. The sun powers your lighting at night. So no need for power plants for your ‘outdoors’; just enjoy your light off the grid
- Freedom of installation. You need no power cables, sockets or other electrical outlets. And sun powered lighting is autonomous so it can be placed anywhere
- No electricity cost. As the sun brings us power for free, you have no electricity cost for a clear view at night
For sure we can sum up many more advantages of sun power, off grid living and low cost lighting. But it all starts with these three.
some considerations
So solar lighting comes with many advantages. But there is a few choices you have to make before you buy. Moreover those choices (internal link to some article) are mainly related to two topics. The amount of light – specified in Lumens – you would like to have. And the color of the light also called the light temperature and expressed in ‘Kelvin’.
why wait?
So no need to make any other choice than green, clean and lean solar powered lighting. Select the right wall fixture, garden post or tall post here (internal link to brimmel range).
